The Boy's Play Date

Jude had his first play date with his buddies Elijah and Thad. We took them to the park in Bolivar, which is a beautiful park, and then the moms got to go to this really cute, great food cafe called Bogarts. The boys hung out in their carseats, Thad and Elijah took a nap and Jude just chilled, while the moms ate.

The boys enjoyed it so much, well actually the moms, we've set up more playdates.

Thad and Elijah were both born in May to two of my dear friends. Both boys are little miracles, but Thad's story is truly amazing. His mom and dad have been married for 16 years and spent most of that time trying for children. They went through all the emotions and questions and hurts and anger and finally came to be okay with the fact that they would never have children.

In the fall of 2006 they found out they were pregnant to shortly find out they had lost the little baby. Again, this brought up questions and hurts. Spring of 2007 they again found themselves pregnant to only lose the baby.

After years of trying with nothing and then to be at a place where they were okay with not having children they get pregnant twice only to lose the babies.

Then in August 2007 they got pregnant again and this time Melissa was able to carry a healthy baby to full term. What a miracle, I'm teary just thinking about all this again. I remember when Thad was born and we went to the hospital I told Todd that we were experiencing a true miracle from God. My heart was in such a state of joy and awe at what our God can do.

This little boy is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen and has been blessed with wonderful, loving, godly parents and I can't wait to see what God has in store for his life.

I can't wait to see what God has in store for each of these 3 boys lives.
