Okay, so this is my first time of doing anything like this. I have several people to thank for causing this desire in me to start it. We'll see how long it lasts. My goal is to hopefully do this long enough that I can print this in a book one day. Maybe we'll all enjoy looking back at it and enjoying the memories. I just wanted to start off with some random things about non other than our sweet children. I'm getting a late start as Jadon is now 30 months and Haven is 11 months. Better late than never.
Saturday:
My mom got an airplane ride for Jadon. Of course Todd and I got to go up too. Jadon has such a fascination with planes, trains & big trucks. So, we started the day off telling Jadon that we had to get ready to go because there was a big surprise just for him. Oh, this was very exciting for a 2 year old. He kept asking about "Jadon's surprise just for him". We rode to Bolivar airport with my mom so she could hold Haven while we went flying. It was in a nice little 4 seat airplane. Jadon wasn't so sure at first, he even cried. But after shoving him and closing the door behind us he loved it. I don't think he stopped once looking out over God's great creation. We talked about the cows, cars & buildings we saw. When we landed he even asked to ride the plane again. Hopefully, again we will. I would love to take you on another plane ride. Thanks Nana for the fun day. P.S. I think Todd enjoyed the plane ride as much if not more than Jadon did.
Saturday night:
Jadon had his first snow cone. It was purple and how I wish I had gotten pictures. He loved that thing! He had purple all over his sweet face, purple streaks running down his chest (I did think to take his shirt off-way to go mom), and purple streaks running down his arms. The true markings of a good snow cone.
Sunday:
Sometimes, it is hard not to laugh at the things your children do. Sunday evening after church we were relaxing on the couch getting ready to read to Jadon out of his Bible story book. When we do this he likes to lay on the couch beside mommy while daddy reads. This is so he can play with my hair. If you don't know Jadon loves to "snuggle" people's hair. Anyway, I was not laying down the way he wanted me to. So, with his big blue eyes he looked at me and said, "Mom, you need to move." Daddy quickly told Jadon not to tell mommy what to do. Jadon looked at me again, this time with his little face very close to mine holding my chin in his little hand and said again, "Mom, you need to move." Daddy once again looked at Jadon and told him to not tell mommy what to do. So, the sweet little boy looked at me again and said, "I tell secret." I gave him my ear and my sweet son, in his sweet whisper voice said, "Mom, you NEED to move." At that moment all was lost and I couldn't control the laughter.
